I love traveling, and I love discovering new things. Vietnam has beautiful places that are breathtaking and people whose lives could be made into novels. There are cultural stories that make me feel lucky to be born Vietnamese. The more I travel, the more I want to explore and learn about my country and its people.

In 2013, I officially became a professional tour guide, so I could live my passion. As someone who has always been curious and fascinated by unique and authentic beauty, I now get to guide people from all over the world who share the same passion for exploration.

My first tour as a guide was to Ninh Binh. I was very nervous, with so many thoughts running through my head: “What should I do now? What’s next?” But soon, my guests and I became friends, sharing stories about the culture and beauty of Ninh Binh. I realized that as long as I am proud of Vietnam and its people, my wonderful tourists would be too. This connection makes everything easier.

Being a tour guide has taught me to live responsibly for those around me. Once, I took a group of nearly 20 guests kayaking to explore Dark Cave (Cat Ba) on a beautiful day. But, unexpectedly, the tide rose earlier than usual, and we were almost trapped in the cave. Without thinking much, I jumped into the water, walked barefoot, and pulled over 10 kayaks out of the cave, one by one. My feet stepped on sharp rocks and broken shells, but when everyone was safe, I could barely see my own feet through the clear water because of the blood. When I remember that incident, all I can think of is that at that moment, the safety of my guests and my responsibility as a guide mattered most.

In my twenties, people often called me a dreamer, always lost in my travels. Through this work, I’ve learned patience, thinking of others, and putting guests first. I’m still a dreamer, and I love that part of myself, but I also love that I am a responsible person. Being a tour guide for over 10 years has helped me grow in ways I deeply appreciate.

If you love discovering unique places and hidden gems in popular destinations like Hanoi or Quang Ninh, I’m sure we’ll have a fantastic experience together. And if you also enjoy photography, the authenticity of people, food, and culture, then we’re a perfect match! I look forward to seeing you on your next trip with Serenity Vietnam.
