Day 1: Serenity Urban Taste - Hanoi Bustling Street Food

Our Hanoi Street Day Tour isn’t about overwhelming you with tons of food options. Instead, we carefully select each culinary experience to offer an authentic glimpse into the daily lives and flavors of the city. This street food adventure is your gateway to explore historic landmarks, lively street art, and the irresistible, diverse flavors of Hanoi.

8:00 – 8:30: Pick up from your hotel (in Old Quarter) and start a tour to St. Joseph’s Cathedral

Located in the lively Old Quarter, St. Joseph’s Cathedral – a prominent symbol of Hanoi’s historical depth, featuring French Gothic architecture. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful yet insightful look into Hanoi’s spiritual essence.

 

9:00 AM: Train departure for Long Bien Bridge, offering stunning views of the Red River and a glimpse into the daily life along its banks.

(Train Times: 6:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 3:15 PM, and 6:10 PM.)

Post-train journey: Head back to the Old Quarter for a deep dive into the street food scene, sampling everything from Pho to local coffee.

Our Hanoi Street Day Tour isn’t about overwhelming you with tons of food options. This street food adventure is your gateway to explore historic landmarks, lively street art, and the irresistible, diverse flavors of Hanoi.

8:00-8:30 AM: We’ll pick you up from your hotel in the Old Quarter and head out on National Highway 1A towards Nam Dinh. Our guide will fill you in on what to expect for the day.

10:45 AM: We arrive at Nam Chấn, the heart of water puppetry. You can bike or stroll around to see how the locals craft these amazing puppets.

12:00 PM: Time for lunch! We’ll stop at a local spot to dig into some delicious Phở Giao Cù, a specialty of Nam Định, while our guide shares some cool facts about this famous noodle soup.

1:30 PM: We’ll visit the Water Pavilion where you’ll get a chance to try puppeteering yourself.

2:30-3:00 PM: Hear from the artisans about what their shows represent and the stories they tell.

3:00-3:45 PM: Enjoy a live water puppet show, a unique Vietnamese tradition.

4:00 PM: We’ll start heading back to Hanoi.

6:00-6:30 PM: We’ll drop you off where we started, wrapping up a fun and enlightening day.

Ninh Binh is a beautiful province located in northern Vietnam, approximately 100 kilometers south of Hanoi. Known for its stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage, Ninh Binh has become an increasingly popular destination for tourists from all over the world.

07.00-08.00: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Old Quarter. If your hotel is outside the Old Quarter area, the meet-up point will be at the Hanoi Opera House. From there, we will travel by air-conditioned bus to Ninh Binh, where we will spend the day exploring the highlights of the region.

09.40: Having a short break for 20 minutes.

10.30: Visiting Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and Le dynasties. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit the temples of the Dinh and Le kings and learn about the history and culture of the region.

11.45: Enjoying lunch at our restaurant with great local cuisine.

13.00: Departing to visit Trang An attraction with majestic limestone cliffs, mysterious yet inviting caves, and deserted green fields. Take a boat trip to visit the cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, and Nau Ruou in around 2.5 hours.

15.30: Hiking up Mua Cave (Mua mean Dance) with over 500 steps up to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain with a panorama view of Ninh Binh City, Ngo Dong River.

17.00: Getting on the bus and going back to Ha Noi.

6: 15 : Practice Tai Chi class on Sundeck.

6: 30 – 7: 20 : Light breakfast is served at the restaurant.

7: 30 : Visit Amazing Cave, hiking up about 120 steps to the cave entrance and 200 steps up & down on the exit.

8: 45 : Back to Hermes Cruises.

9: 30 : Check – out time on the board, leave luggages in the front of your room door.

9: 40 – 10: 30 : Enjoy buffet brunch while the cruise transfer to the Tuan Chau Wharf, the payment for drinks will be settle after brunch.

10: 30 : Disembark to Tuan Chau Wharf.

11: 20 : Return to Ha Noi by shuttle bus. End of the trip.
