Lương Thanh Bình – Hà Nam – 1994 – 5 years of experience

Before becoming a tour guide, I worked in a hotel for many years. My job was to welcome guests and assist them during their stay. I loved hearing their stories about far-off lands and their home countries. In turn, I was excited to share the beautiful things about Vietnam with them. This passion grew, and one day I realized that being a tour guide would give me the opportunity to explore, learn, and have meaningful conversations with people from all over the world.

My greatest joy as a tour guide is seeing guests enthusiastically embrace what I share about Vietnam and its people. I’ll never forget what one guest said during one of my early tours: “You’re the first person to tell me such wonderful things about this country and its people!” Those words have stayed with me throughout my career, reminding me of the important role I play in connecting travelers with local people.

I remember one winter in late 2023, the Gót ferry suddenly closed, and my group had to change our route to the Gia Luan ferry, adding two hours to our journey. Though I was worried about the impact on our guests’ experience, everyone was very understanding. We took the opportunity to share more stories about Vietnam and their own countries. When we arrived back in Hanoi, the entire group applauded, celebrating a meaningful journey. This experience taught me that as long as you’re eager to learn and enjoy cultural exchange, even unexpected challenges can turn into beautiful memories.

I love my country and my people. Vietnam is a heroic and compassionate nation with a rich and complex history. So, for those who appreciate history, culture, and tradition, you’re sure to have a wonderful experience traveling with me. I hope to see you on a Serenity Vietnam tour soon!
